The selected sales representation agency will be required to convert interest in Scotland’s C&I offer into confirmed business for the corporate meeting and incentive market.

Visit Scotland wants the agency chosen to work on pre-qualifying sales leads, proactively building and expanding a comprehensive database and proactively pursuing sales prospects.

A £65,000 budget has been earmarked for the project, which will initially run for a year from July, but could be extended by a further two years if it is successful.

Scotland is now undergoing a series of developments to its C&I offer, including a £46m revamp of Edinburgh’s National Museum of Scotland, which will reopen for corporate event hire in October.

Visit Scotland is expected to take on increased corporate marketing activity after Visit Britain announced proposals to disband its entire business tourism team.
