The four-day event, which will showcase BBC Worldwide content to more than 500 global network buyers, was moved to the ACC due to the BBC's plans to grow the event, now in its 35th year.
The event will this year be held in the Brighton Centre and neighbouring De Vere Grand, Brighton on 27 February. It was held at the same venue last year.
For the 2012 event, BBC Worldwide plans to give its ACC delegates individual digitised viewing booths in which they can view more than 1000 hours of new content.
The day and night schedules will include producer pitches, co-production forums, screenings and launch parties.
ACC Liverpool chief executive Bob Prattey said: "We are proud to be hosting this prestigious media event in 2012 and beyond. This is a very high profile date in the television industry calendar and will give us a great opportunity to showcase our world class venue and unique city on an international stage. We are looking forward to working closely with the team at BBC Worldwide in the coming months and years, to further develop this fantastic event here in Liverpool."
The 2012 Showcase is expected to take place in February 2012.
