Developments include Edinburgh’s National Museum of Scotland, which is set to reopen for corporate event hire following a £46.4m redevelopment in October.

The revamped venue will include a café and restaurant, 16 new galleries and the Grand Gallery with capacity for 850.

The Scottish National Portrait Gallery is also set to reopen in Edinburgh in November with new galleries increasing its overall display space by 50%.

The gallery’s main hall will also be linked to a new education suite and seminar room.

Glasgow

The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) in Glasgow is set to open the 12,000-seat Scottish National Arena by 2013.

In addition, the new £74m Riverside Museum is set to open adjacent to Glasgow Harbour in spring.
