Macdonald has overseen a £3.5m renovation, led by general manager Jane Farrelly, to create a more 'boutique' feel.
"With two hotels in Manchester it was important to create two completely different product offerings while still adhering to the standards that Macdonald Hotels & Resorts epitomise," said Stephanie Hocking, regional managing director for Macdonald Hotels & Resorts.
"Particular attention has been placed on the hotel’s 85 bedrooms and versatile dining space, 101 Brassiere, which offers regionally inspired modern British dishes."
The four star hotel, previously managed by Best Western, also features eight meeting and event spaces. It can host conferences and events for up to 70 delegates in the Waterhouse Room, accompanied by the Portland Room for up to 36.
