Hotelzon’s chief executive Jani Kaskinen has moved to the new UK office at Chiswick Park in west London from the firm’s Helsinki headquarters, along with Hotelzon’s global marketing manager and research and development manager.
Kaskinen told C&IT he expects the London office – which is Hotelzon’s second in the UK and adds to its Winchester base - to grow to around 15 staff this year.
It will then become Hotelzon’s headquarters in the first half of the year.
"The UK is our growth market at the moment," said Kaskinen. "We grew 37% in the UK last year and the country is now more ready than ever for online growth booking."
Manpower and Co-operative Travel Management are among clients for Hotelzon, which has around 130 staff in offices including the UK, Finland, Sweden, Hong Kong and Romania.
Meanwhile, Hotelzon has acquired HVO Hotel Booking Company, from its Finnish parent company, Fonecta.
The booking technology company was one of Hotelzon’s "last remaining competitors" in that market, added Kaskinen.
