Barclays UK retail banking’s head of events Handley will share tips on how to stay focused when running numerous events each year, while Canon’s Hedlund-Klein will present a workshop discussing the Canon Expo, held in Paris in October.
Former London 2012 director of marketing David Magliano, who was also director of commercial and marketing at England 2018, is set to kick off the forum with a session on winning, and losing, a pitch.
More than 60 event professionals are attending the two-day forum, including events managers from Bupa, Aviva, Royal Bank of Scotland, Citroen and Vodafone.
Hewlett-Packard’s events manager Jane Culcheth-Beard will lead a discussion on the greatest challenges – and solutions – for the corporate events planner in 2011.
Meanwhile, Central Office of Information’s director of live events Simon Hughes will reveal how his team has regrouped after losing almost half of its staff to redundancy.
