London-based agency Live Union, which was incorporated in December 2008, is set to increase its team from five to eight in the coming months, director Steve Eakins told C&IT.

The expansion follows a series of business wins for the agency, including work with EDF Energy, Trip Advisor and a collaboration project between Channel 4 Education and youth communications agency Livity.

EDF Energy appointed Live Union to run eight events in Brighton, Exeter, Sunderland and London for its executive team to engage with managers, known as Pioneers.

Meanwhile, Trip Advisor chose the agency to produce a series of masterclasses aimed at hotel owners at the end of last year, with further events planned for 2011.

"It has been a good year and we have picked up a lot of business in the past three to four months," said Eakins. "We are quite new so it is all about growth."

He added the agency expects to record a "seven-figure turnover" when it completes its accounts in March.

Live Union has also been appointed to deliver a series of events as part of the 2012 Cultural Olympiad.

The project, called Somewhere To, has been put together by youth communications agency Livity and Channel 4 Education, and aims to connect young people with land and business holders across the UK.
