Heathrow Airport experienced severe disruption over the weekend, with just 20 out of around 1,300 scheduled flights departing yesterday.

The airport is open and operating a limited schedule today but passengers face severe delays and have been advised to check directly with airlines to confirm the status of flights.

Gatwick’s runway is open today but the airport said in a statement: "Knock-on delays and cancellations are likely throughout the day due to the ongoing impact of snow across Northern Europe."

London Luton and London City, Glasgow and Edinburgh airports are open but flights are being affected by the severe weather conditions.

Aberdeen Airport is currently experiencing cancellations and delays due to the weather conditions.

Southampton Airport has now re-opened its runway following a period of snow clearance.  Further delays and cancellations are anticipated as snowfall is forecast today.
