Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed a deal with software supplier and hotel booking agent, Hotelzon.

IHG will adopt Hotelzon’s systems and become a preferred partner for 4,500 of its hotels in over 100 countries.

The agreement will give IHG a access to Hotelzon's corporate and travel agency customers, bypassing more traditional electronic booking tools and allowing Hotelzon direct access into its inventory.

It is claimed the deal will bring cost per booking savings to IHG, including electronic invoicing, prepayments and paperless booking. 

Hotelzon chief executive Jani Kaskinen said: "The brand’s reservations system will see an immediate benefit from the partnership and will save hotels significant money by cutting out the middle man. This deal is testament to the recognition of the status Hotelzon has developed within the industry."

Hotelzon operates offices in 13 countries including Finland, China and the UK and Europe.Its hotel booking system offers availability, price information and booking functionality for more than 100,000 hotels worldwide.
