Barnett told C&IT that he expected pre-registered trade visitors of around 6,000 to drop to 4,000, which he said is typically the case with exhibitions.
"We were expecting around 4,000 trade visitors to the show, which is slightly above last year's 3,736 and we can can now confirm that that prediction proved to be correct," he added.
He said that 120 out of 4,000 hosted buyers failed to make the show because of the widely publicised travel issues.
Total attendance at the show reached 8,395, a 1% increase on 2009. There was 3,125 exhibiting companies from over 90 countries, up from 3,000 last year.
