It is the first Tryp by Wyndham hotel to open in Germany’s capital city and has around 138sqm of meeting space for 130 people, which will be expanded to accommodate 250 next summer.

The six-storey hotel is located in Berlin’s Mitte district and has a fitness centre with sauna and underground parking.

Tryp by Wyndham brand senior vice president Daniel del Olmo said: "We are committed to expanding the Tryp by Wyndham brand throughout Europe and the Americas in key urban markets."

Wyndham Hotel Group has also signed an agreement to manage the 173-room Tryp New York City – Times Square South, the first Tryp by Wyndham property in North America. The hotel is scheduled to debut in the second quarter of 2011.

Wyndham acquired the Tryp hotel brand earlier this year from Sol Melia, for around £30m.
