Beckham said: "I'm extremely proud to be flying to Zurich to represent the England 2018 Bid, and to be travelling with the hopes of the nation on this official aircraft. I hope that the next time I'm on British soil, I'll be with the winning England 2018 Bid team."

ATP Event Experts

ATPI's event division ATP Event Experts has been appointed the official travel and event management supplier for England's 2018 World Cup Bid campaign.

ATP Event Experts will transport the 2018 Bid Team to visit key Fifa federations in the run-up to the announcement of the host destination in Zurich on 2 December.

England 2018 chief executive Andy Anson said: "We are delighted to welcome ATPI on board as an official supplier. Expert travel management is a fundamental requirement for the bid and ATPI’s excellent standard of service ensures we maintain a strong working relationship."

Panorama

It comes after the BBC has defended a Panorama documentary alleging three Fifa officials took bribes in the 1990s, shown last night.
