The 2011 convention for 1,000 EMC customers and partners from Europe, the Middle East and Africa will take place at the Maritim Hotel in Berlin from 31 October until 3 November, as exclusively predicted by C&IT.

Located in the heart of the German capital, the Maritim Hotel Berlin occupies a prime spot on the city's Tiergarten park in the diplomatic quarter, close to the Kurfürstendamm and Potsdam Square.

Principal Promotions was appointed earlier this month to handle all pre-event and onsite logistics plus ground handling, hotel management and local DMC liaison. The agency will be joined by Unique Entertainment to manage the social programme, networking sessions and audio-visual set and staging, plus City Creative to manage the exhibition build and onsite management, as well as all design, print and signage.

EMC project manager Peta Adamson said: "Our main conference suppliers are selected for their ability to work closely with us from start to finish, becoming an integral and pivotal part of the whole team."

This year’s conference was held at the Lisbon Congress Centre from 25-28 October. Over four days, delegates experienced a series of seminars, workshops, networking and social activities in the Portuguese capital.
