The regional headquarters will cover the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific and are part of a drive to strengthen BI’s global position.

Jeff Beegle has been appointed as vice president international to support the strategy, facilitate technology transfer, and build upon BI’s development and delivery of global programmes.

Technology emanating from the US offices and being developed within the UK and Asia Pacific is to be rolled out globally by the beginning of 2011 as part of the strategy.

BI UK managing director Mike Davies said: "BI has a global reach that is attractive to clients with programmes that demand a consistent approach across many geographies.  This structural change strengthens our position to grow further in this market and provide worldwide solutions for global clients."

Last year, BI’s chief executive Richard Bandell relocated to Shanghai as part of a senior management restructure.
