IFS, which has more than 50 offices globally, is planning the event for a total of 200 delegates from the UK and overseas.

The March event will begin with executive meetings for the senior management team on the first two days, followed by a two-day sales conference.

IFS director of corporate marketing Trevor Salomon said the annual conference was used for education, sharing strategy, global issues and networking.

"It is very business-focused," said Salomon. "First and foremost we want people to think it was worth their time being there. It sets the scene for the year and there is definitely a return on investment."

Buckinghamshire-based Ice Blue Sky is responsible for finding the venue, planning a gala dinner and accommodation for the conference, which was held at the Dom Pedro Hotel in Lisbon last year.

Events manager Paul Rose said: "A lot of our clients are in the software sector so it is a familiar industry for us."
