British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) is holding the annual championship from 14-20 March and has tasked SIV with providing event management for the competition.

Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, the English Institute of Sport Sheffield, Don Valley Stadium and Concord Sports Centre will all host events during the championship for 3,500 people.

This is the fourth year SIV – which runs 14 venues including Sheffield City Hall and Sheffield Arena - has hosted the championship, but its debut in providing event management.

SIV events general manager Dominic Stokes said: "BUCS recognises our strengths at SIV, which range from providing venues to event management and ticket sales. 2011 is guaranteed to be a fantastic year at SIV. We will be hosting the Liberal Democrat’s spring conference at City Hall, as well as bringing over 2000 other events including amateur, local, national, international and elite sports to Sheffield."
