Euro RSCG Skybridge's Turkey event unaffected by political tensions

Euro RSCG Skybridge is conducting business as usual in Turkey, despite increased political tensions following a terrorist explosion in central Istanbul on 31 October.

The bombing, which has so far not been attributed to any terrorist group, injured 32 people, including 15 policemen.

Skybridge is holding a conference early next year in the country. Its managing director Paul Stoddart said the event will remain unaffected after he consulted with colleagues in the area.

"In these circumstances we will normally seek advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as well as our ground agent partners to assess the situation, and then discuss it with our clients," he added.

"In this case we also have the benefit of local detailed knowledge from our colleagues based in our three sister Euro RSCG agencies in Istanbul which gives us another truly local perspective on the situation. As with all decisions, we will be reviewing this with our clients as part of our regular project review process."
