Japan MICE Year 2010 saw a push in marketing to bring international business travellers to the country.
Kyoto has also won business with the Association of South East Asian Nations to run its annual finance ministers meeting, as well as with further automotive clients.
Kyoto Convention Bureau’s international marketing co-ordinator James Kent said: "2010 has been a really positive year for our business growth. To support and maintain this ongoing development across the corporate meeting, association and incentive markets it was vital we expand our team."
