Davis Langdon, which has between 30 and 90 graduates on the scheme at any time, will head to Conference Aston for the programme in 2011-2013.

According to the construction consultancy’s learning and development officer Sarah Deeming, the courses are a "significant investment" for Davis Langdon.

Davis Langdon’s head of learning and development Paul Stubbs added the venue was well located for the firm’s network of 20 offices across the UK.

"Our graduates attend five courses over a two year period in a classroom environment as part of an intensive programme, with courses running for three to four days at a time," he said. "An academic venue like Conference Aston can be responsive to the requirements of their delegates. It’s not a question of money, although academic venues can deliver cost savings in this area, it’s about the level of understanding of learning that academic venues can provide."

The Birmingham venue, which is located at Aston University, has a total of 30 dedicated meeting spaces, as well as the Great Hall for up to 650 delegates and further 68 learning spaces which are available during university holidays.

Conference Aston sales manager Louise Goncalves said: "I am delighted that Davis Langdon has confirmed its training commitment and will be working with us in the coming years."

Davis Langdon works with DRP Group to organise events throughout the year, and has recently undergone integration into technical management company Aecom, which bought the business for £208m this year.
