Turnberry, a Starwood Luxury Collection Resort on the West coast of Scotland, recently underwent a multi-million-pound renovation programme.
This grand hotel with its stunning whitewashed facade overlooks the famed golf courses and beautiful Ayrshire coast. Kilted staff usher guests into a refurbished reception and the first thing they see is The Grand Tea Lounge and the stunning sea views beyond.
Turnberry has 198 guest rooms including four lavish ocean-view suites in the main hotel; as well as 12 eight-bedroom and 12 six-bedroom lodges on the estate.
The events offer was boosted this year when The Turnberry Suite opened, a space for up to 200 people with direct access to a large private outdoor terrace. There are 14 meeting spaces in total, and the largest, The Caledonia, can accommodate up to 300 delegates.
Turnberry's major draw is golf, with two championship courses. Dining options include the 1906 restaurant, and the relaxed Duel in the Sun bar. Groups can also relax in the spa or try 4x4 driving, trout-fishing, archery, falconry, or horse riding at the outdoor activity centre.
