East London-based Seventeen Events has been appointed by Channel 4 and the Guardian to run events this autumn.
The agency is managing sustainable event production for the upcoming Guardian First Book Awards and Philip Lawrence Awards.
Meanwhile, Channel 4 has appointed Seventeen to manage an event for around 60 agency researchers on 25 November.
Seventeen Events managing director Andrew Williams said: "Our attitude has always been that sustainability has to be integrated into mainstream event management, and I’m especially delighted that we’re seen as a creative, ideas-driven agency rather than being pigeonholed into a green ghetto. That said, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do and we’re looking forward to the next five years pushing the events industry forward to a greener future."
The agency is also working on projects for 2011 including the Observer Ethical Awards, the Sustainable Events Summit, the UK Best Workplace Awards and the Media Guardian Innovation Awards.
