The grade II-listed four-star deluxe hotel is located in Manchester city centre. It offers 312 rooms and a two AA-rosette French restaurant. It also has 14 conference and meeting rooms including the Alexandra suite, which has capacity for 700.

Circus Casino is located in the heart of Manchester, within walking distance of the hotel. It offers the Big Top meeting room with capacity for 80 delegates theatre-style and 100 for drinks, the Ring Masters private dining room for 24 and the Harlequin private gaming room with capacity for 20.

The prize includes an evening for two at the casino, including a three-course meal with wine at the 110 Restaurant, followed by private tuition from a professional croupier and a £10 chip each.
