The conference and events group, owned by Flight Centre, setup Ci Create to expand its graphic design and production services.

Ci, which recently won contracts with Hays, Asda and CGG Veritas, predicts that the investment will help double turnover to £12m by mid 2011.

Ci Events UK general manager Penny Lion said: "We are keen to grow our business here and are looking at all new business opportunities. As a result we have reached the stage where we need our own in-house graphic design and production division.

"CI Create [will develop] creative concepts and providing everything from copywriting, graphics and technical specifications to stage set design, entertainment and full show direction."

The group is also looking to appoint seven new staff.
