McLaren, who has worked at Beachcomber Hotels for 20 years, moves over from the UK sales team.

Her new remit covers the company’s hotels in Mauritius and the Seychelles.

McLaren said: "With the recent launch of our latest hotel, Trou Aux Biches, I look forward to the opportunity of reacquainting some of the world’s best hotels to one of the country’s most discerning markets."

She will be supported by Henriette Attard, former group and incentive sales director at Kerzner International, who set up a new hotel representation company and signed Beachcomber Hotels as her first client in February.
