D3 Active – formerly known as D3 Events – has experienced a 118% increase in sales over the summer compared to 2009, with forward bookings up 55%.

Land Rover, HBoS, O2

Land Rover, HBoS and O2 are also among clients that have appointed the agency for team building and conference projects.

D3 director Fiona Day said she expected profits to increase for the business as it concentrated on growth in its most popular areas.

Eastnor Castle

Last year, the agency closed its Gatwick headquarters and moved to the Eastnor Castle Estate in Herefordshire, where it already had an office.

"It came about at the peak of the recession, but we have had a satellite office at Eastnor since 2007 and moved in April 2009," said Day.

G4 Challenge

The agency previously worked closely with Land Rover on its G4 Challenge Owners Club project, but is now focusing on other events after the programme ended.

Day added that team building and media events had increased: "The recession has made us rethink where we want to focus and where our strengths lie. Clients are doing a lot of internal and external team-building, while some is training with a more serious edge."

Mongolian ger

D3 Active has now permanently erected a large communal Mongolian ger tent with a capacity for approximately 35 people, in addition to its village of ger tents that can be used for overnight activities.
