The team includes Zibrant’s managing director sales and marketing Fay Sharpe, Barclays account team manager Adam Morris procurement manager Gareth Crowder and marketing manager Lucy Salmon, as well as 11 Barclays staff.

They will fly to Johannesburg on 24 September to take part in the Make A Difference (MAD) initiative, managed by The ABSA Foundation, whose aim it is to build 1000 houses and two community centres in Mogale City and Daveyton, Johannesburg.

Sharpe said: "This will be a life-changing opportunity for us. We are ready to be both emotionally and physically exhausted, but it will be worth it for the contribution we can make to giving the lives of these underprivileged families a new start."
