In last night’s episode, C&IT senior reporter Christy Wyatt was among a cherrypicked group of guests attending an open day at the Kingston Estate in Devon.

Delegates included event professionals including Perception Sales & Marketing director Cath Couzens.

The event was held to showcase the property to key industry figures, following a project to revamp the property’s decor and website under the guidance of the Hotel Inspector’s Alex Polizzi.

The 18th-century property, run by former model Liz Corfield and her husband Michael, offers three en-suite period suites, nine cottages, leisure facilities and several event spaces with capacity for 120 delegates.

The Kingston Estate episode of The Hotel Inspector will be repeated at 11:45am on Sunday 29 August on Channel Five.
