BOUTIQUE CHIC ... Blue Hotel, Woolloomooloo

This hip boutique hotel is set on a harbour wharf in the heart of a luxury marina and entertainment complex with spectacular views across to the Royal Botanic Gardens. Each of the hotel's 100 rooms, including 36 exclusive Loft Rooms, are designed to retain the charm of the historic wharf building while providing the latest in modern luxury. Event spaces include the 100m2 Strategy Room and the 50m2 Industry Room, both of which offer natural daylight, while the Blue Cafe and the Living Room can also be transformed into unique event spaces.

A-LIST HAUNT ... The Establishment

Rub shoulders with celebrities like Robbie Williams at The Establishment, the place to be seen in Sydney. UK agency Unmissable's managing director Justine Clement describes the venue as the "trendiest hotspot in Sydney to wine, dine, party and stay. The venue has 31 contemporary rooms and two luxury duplex penthouse suites, plus three restaurants including the Gin Garden and Peter Doyle's award-winning Est." Bars include the iconic Establishment Bar that boasts a 42m marble bar and the Hemmesphere cocktail bar.

CULTURAL CAVERN ... Oxford Art Factory

This funky, sprawling underground club space in Darlinghurst features original murals by underground artists, a bar and a live performance space with indie music, burlesque shows and quirky theatre. Inspired by Andy Warhol's Factory in New York during the 60s, the venue allows local and international artists to showcase their talents. It offers three spaces that can be used for corporate events: The Gallery, The Cube, and The Live Room, which is the largest space and can host up to 400 guests.

TASTE SENSATION ... Wine Odyssey

This heritage-listed wine bar in Sydney's historic Rocks district is the place to go for groups into fine wine. Wine Odyssey lays claim to the best Australian Wine list in the country - with more than 200 premium and not-readily-available wines, drawn from the four corners of the continent. Book the private Board Room, which seats ten for a personalised wine and food experience or an exclusive tour of the Aroma Room and Tasting Theatre, the latter of which can also be booked for 45 standing. The venue can also tailor-make a wine discovery experience for groups, depending on their requirements and knowledge.

WILDLIFE WONDER ... Taronga Zoo

Taronga Zoo's unique accommodation experience, Roar & Snore, has been relaunched and groups can now spend the night camping out with the animals in the comfort of purpose-built safari tents overlooking the harbour. The 'new' Roar & Snore includes a sumptuous roast feast. From feeding a giraffe to being woken by an elephant's trumpet, delegates will get a unique 'behind the scenes' experience of the zoo.

BEACH LIFE ... Ravesi's

Located on Australia's famous stretch of sand, Ravesi's is where Bondi's beautiful people play. Recently named the state's Hotel Bar of the Year, the property has 12 designer rooms, and a restaurant open for lunch and dinner every day except Sunday, when it serves lunch only. Meanwhile, the Drift cocktail lounge is the place to head after dark for fabulous cocktails or fine wines.

CREATIVE BRAINSTORMING ... The Ideas Finder

Agency Naked Communications worked with workshop facilitators to create this unique space in its Surry Hills office. The venue has been designed with creative stimulus to provide the optimum environment for idea generation. It has a central working space and a series of breakout rooms, each with a different creative theme: golf course, tool shed, bathroom and artist's studio.

RETRO GAMES ... Strike Bowling Bar

Ideal for corporate parties, Strike Bowling Bar combines private bowling lounges, deluxe karaoke rooms, pool tables, function rooms, DJs, dance floor capabilities, deluxe bars and gourmet food in a single place. Sydney is home to two Strike venues, including the flagship venue at King St Wharf that can accommodate up to 300 people.

URBAN OASIS ... The Ivy

Sister property to the Establishment, The Ivy's dazzling designer complex includes a laneway wine bar and a Euro-style indoor-outdoor lounge bars. Its jewel in the crown is the Ivy penthouse, a luxurious rooftop oasis, complete with its own spa pool and tropical planting ideal for product launches and cocktail functions. Other event spaces include The Ivy Room, a pillarless ballroom with natural light, which can accommodate up to 650 theatre-style or 1,000 for a reception. The Sun Room, meanwhile, features wicker furnishings and can seat 90 for dinner or 120 theatre-style.

OLD SCHOOL CHARM ... Luna Park

One of the city's more unusual backdrops for events, the Luna Park entertainment complex offers views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Spaces range from the Big Top, a multi-purpose arena and capacity for up to 2,000 delegates theatre-style, to the Crystal Palace, which can seat 800. Lavender Green is an outdoor grassed area at the northern end of Luna Park overlooking the picturesque Lavender Bay, ideal for relaxed barbecues on summer evenings. The venue can also include rides packages at discounted rates.
