The Ryder Cup takes place at The Celtic Manor Resort in Wales from 1 to 3 October and Smyle will carry out show production, staging and set design for the opening ceremony on 30 September and the closing ceremony on 3 October.

The agency will be working with ES Group to assist with the staging and with Sky Sports on the show production.

Smyle managing director Rick Stainton said: "We are very proud to be involved with this globally-televised event, particularly as it is one of the world’s leading sporting events being held in the UK this year."

He added that around 40,000 people were expected to attend the Ryder Cup.

Corporate hospitality agents appointed for the Ryder Cup include Keith Prowse and Mike Burton.

"Complex live experiences, like the opening and closing ceremonies, are what Smyle thrives on delivering with the support of our team partners," said Stainton.
