The Vue cinema – which can seat up to 500 delegates and provide hospitality in a private bar and lounge – has joined Imperial War Museum North, The Lowry, Lancashire County Cricket Club, and Ramada Salford Quays, taking the number of venues in the alliance to five.

The venues joined forces last summer to promote their collective offer, in a bid to attract more national and international business events to the region.

Quays Conferencing spokesman Mathew Jayne, who is head of hospitality at The Lowry, said: "Quays Conferencing continues to pull together to promote its venues. It is great that we now have another venue on board to shout about. The Vue cinema, at the Lowry Outlet Mall, gives Quays Conferencing a really unique offering."

Lancashire County Cricket Club offers a capacity of 1000 (seated) or 1000 (conference). Imperial War Museum North offers facilities of 100 (conference), 330 (dinner dance) and 700 (reception). Ramada Manchester Salford Quays offers a capacity of 200. The Lowry offers a capacity of 1733 (conference), 300 (reception) and 280 (dinner).
