C&IT has been named as the official sponsor of Visit London's Business Event of the Year award.

The BT Visit London Awards 2010 are now open for entry and readers can enter at www.visitlondon.com/awards until 18 August.

The 11 categories include the awards for Sustainable Tourism, Business Venue of the Year and Large Hotel of the Year.

Visit London will announce the shortlist on 6 September, with voting for the Business Event of the Year award taking place exclusively on citmagazine.com.

Awards

The winner will be revealed at the Visit London Awards on 8 December 2010.

Visit London head of event solutions and UK sales Zanine Adams said: "London leads the world with innovative and exciting events and the BT Visit London Awards provide a great opportunity for businesses to showcase their work. This year we are delighted that C&IT magazine has come on board to sponsor the Business Event of the Year, which will showcase and celebrate some of the incredible events that have been hosted in the capital."

Corporate events

C&IT editor Yasmin Arrigo said: "This year alone C&IT has covered London-based events by brands such as Diageo, Peugeot and Unilever, so we look forward to celebrating the success of the chosen Business Event of the Year."

SML Marketing & Events was appointed to run the Visit London Awards for the third consecutive year in April.
