Evans, who will be responsible for heading up Q Hotels’ sales and strategy in the national and international association markets, joins the hotel group from the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, where he looked after the venue’s sales and business development, with a particular focus on association business.
"Adrian is a real asset to Q Hotels and we are delighted to have his experience on board to drive sales in the association market. This is a crucial time for our business and our industry, and his appointment is part of Q Hotels’ significant investment into our sales structure," said Q Hotels sales director David Taylor.
Separately, the hotel has added a raft of new services to its Total Meetings Package aimed at event planners.
The additions, which follow £1m investment into the portfolio’s meetings and events offer earlier this year, include a dedicated event manager on standby during client events and a dedicated car parking space for the organiser close to the hotel entrance.
"Further exciting changes to the conference lunch offer are currently underway for a September launch," said Q Hotels operations director Vivien Sirotkin.
