Samantha Pedder will be responsible for all of Newbury Racecourse’s onsite catering facilities at corporate conferences and public events, as well as on race days. She will be leading the catering strategy at the racecourse and will report directly into joint managing director for racecourse and events Stephen Higgins.

Previously, Pedder worked at Admiral Taverns, where she was responsible for an estate of 3,500 public houses.

Before this she launched the franchising model and fresh deli concept at Coffee Republic and worked as a creative director in a consultancy firm.

Higgins said: "Having someone with Samantha’s extensive industry experience and retail knowledge will be a real asset as we look to drive forward with our in-house catering offering and develop our large corporate events."

Pedder’s first project will be to redesign the menus at Newbury Racecourse.
