Starwood Capital and London & Regional Properties have bought the Cumberland Hotel in central London for an estimated £215m.
The 1,000 room hotel - which features a 350-person event space, as well as 18 event rooms and seven meeting rooms - is located in Oxford Street, close to Marble Arch and Hyde Park.
The sale was completed last night after the hotel went on the market around 10 weeks ago. RBS sold the hotel through CBRE Hotels, and Guoman Hotels will continue to run the venue.
The West End location and lack of availability of similar properties are believed to have driven interest during the sale period.
