Warrington-based Airangel, which specialises in branded wireless internet access for the hospitality and conferencing industries, has reported a 130% increase in internet connections on last year.

It has won new clients including Hampton by Hilton, Principal Haley and Holiday Inn Express hotels as well as conference centres such as Manchester Central.

Dean Wilkinson said: "We’re part of a mobile age and the internet is a daily part of our lives, so much so that guest internet access is an essential component for many businesses, whether it’s allowing staff to hot desk or giving hotel guests access to online services.

"In the last year we’ve expanded our reach into new sectors and are continually helping clients to realise the full revenue, customer service and marketing benefits that wifi systems can deliver."
