Tangney's remit will be to provide insights into the use of policy, technology and networks to more effectively manage travel and meetings.
The European business travel and meetings network, which created the initial NBTA board in January, announced Hotel.info account manager Anne-Sophie Raoult has also joined the board.
Raoult's remit will be to connect the network with new business travel professionals and to focus on using social media.
AstraZeneca global category leader (business travel) and NBTA Europe Advisory Board chair Caroline Strachan said: "I am delighted that we continue to attract such great talent to the advisory board of NBTA Europe even just a few months after launch. The benefits the network will receive from work that these two individuals have done in their fields will allow us to continue to push the boundaries of travel and meetings management throughout Europe."
Tangney and Raoult will speak in sessions at the NBTA Europe Conference, set to take place in Lisbon in September.
