Mere Golf and Country Club is expanding with a new 86-room hotel and spa this year and the executive board will drive business growth.

Headed by club owner and chief executive Mark Boler, the new team also comprises Ian O'Toole as finance director, Tracy Rees as HR manager and Michael Proudlove in the role of acting leisure manager.

For the first time, Mere Golf and Country Club has a dedicated sales team headed by new starter Angela Perkins who joins the executive team in the role of business development manager. James Bradford also joins the team in the newly created role of food and beverage director.

Boler said:  "To strengthen the business and drive it forward I felt that it was necessary to appoint an experienced executive team and introduce a more formal reporting structure.

"The team has the goal of further developing our service offering to ensure that Mere Golf and Country Club can compete on a national level."

The club's facilities include three conference suites and three further smaller meeting rooms.
