Expotel's remit will include managing flights, accommodation at Atlantis, The Palm, a gala dinner and entertainment for 116 sales staff and their partners.

Expotel events team manager Victoria Seddon said: "The client came to us to organise accommodation for an event in Las Vegas last year and didn't realise we also run incentives so I sent them details of our offer."

Expotel received an enquiry about the event in March and was appointed in April.

Expotel has also been appointed by Virgin Trains to manage its two-day Virgin Trains Feel Good Awards this month for the fifth consecutive year.

Expotel said the agency won the business as part of an ongoing agreement, with Expotel sourcing venues and then "upselling" its event management services on an event-by-event basis.

Seddon added: "As soon as one event finishes, we start talking about the next one. We got fabulous feedback on last year's event, but we don't go through a formal procurement process."

The awards will be held at Carden Park near Chester for 160 delegates on 24 June and include a gala dinner with celebrity speakers.
