The caterer parts company with the popular C&I venue
Catering and hospitality company Searcys 1847 is terminating its contract with Mercedes-Benz World (MBW).
Searcys 1847 chief executive Duncan Ackery said the decision to end the contract, which began in May 2006, came on the back of the venue's "desire to shift the contract away from a management fee to a commercial business".
"We have enjoyed building the business with MBW but have to take a prudent approach to our planning in the current climate," said Ackery. "As such, we have chosen not to progress the existing partnership with MBW. We wish them well in the next phase of their business".
Searcys 1847's contract ends at the end of this month.
Mercedes-Benz World managing director Peter O'Halloran said: "We put the catering contract out to tender in line with our future business objectives. We will be announcing exciting new plans shortly."
