The NTO appoints Donna Abberley as business tourism manager
South African Tourism has recruited former Visit London event manager Donna Abberley to be business tourism manager.
Abberley will be based in the NTO's London office with a remit to create and implement business tourism strategies designed to boost the volume of business visitors to South Africa, as well as encouraging their dispersal throughout the country. She will also support suppliers, and create new - and strengthen existing - industry contacts.
"My priority for the first few months will be to develop and nurture key relationships within the industry that will be crucial to further increase C&I business tourism to South Africa," Abberley said.
Her previous role at Visit London included management of the body's event portfolio and strategy development. She has also worked as an event manager for George P Johnson and the Social Enterprise Coalition.
