Excel London has joined the International Special Events Society (ISES) after establishing a relationship with the association during the ICC London Excel launch last month.
The venue’s director of conferences and events James Rees, who is chair of ICCA UK & Ireland, said he supports a collaborative approach between associations.
Excel London has joined ISES as a corporate gold level member – the highest tier of membership.
Rees said: "We believe this level of ISES membership reflects our stature. Additionally, we have a commitment to provide inspiration to our in-house team of event professionals and to connect them in a positive way to the others working in the industry with similar levels of passion and talent."
ISES UK president Richard Foulkes added: "We pride ourselves with the role that we play to support our industry and it is for the benefit of the association and its members that we continue to attract such prominent venues as Excel London."
