Maritz director quits in move to Absolute Corporate Events
, 28 December 2005
Maritz business development director Amanda Stranack has left the company to become full-time operations director at Bath-based agency Absolute Corporate Events. She replaces former operations director Jo Williams. “My commute to the Maritz office, which is based in Marlow, was quite tough and as I live near Bath this position was a good chance for me to work closer to home while remaining in the industry,” she said. “It’s a lifestyle choice although this position is a step up. “Because Absolute Corporate Events is a smaller company I am now able to be involved in more areas of the business,” she explained. “And the role involves running the business day-to-day on behalf of managing director Tim Gasson, so it’s a great opportunity.” Maritz marketing manager Colin Smith said the agency is looking to replace Stranack, but has not yet decided in which capacity. “We have someone doing the same job in our German office and we may appoint her to look after both offices,” he said. “We’re looking into the feasibility of that at the moment.”
