Scotland is set to boost its C&I offer with a wealth of new hotel openings ahead of the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Seven new hotels will open in host city Glasgow in time for the Games, including a £120m six-star Jumeirah property offering 160 rooms and the Grand Central Hotel, which will reopen in September following a £20m refurbishment.
Aberdeen, which is set to focus on the renewable energy sector, will also benefit from new developments, with 2,500 new rooms planned to open by 2014.
New properties will include the 217-room Bells Hotel in 2012 and Trump International Golf Links, which will open in 2014 and offer a five-star hotel and two championship courses.
Visit Scotland will also hold two networking events for around 40 international buyers in 2010.
The week-long Scotland Means Business events will take place in April and November, and will include six fam groups per event.
