Operations manager, Roche Pharmaceuticals
Alison White took over as operations manager - conferences and events division - at Roche in September last year and won her place in this year's Power 50 largely on the back of her success in continuing the pharmaceutical company's drive to consolidate and rationalise its European and global events business. She took over the role from Caroline Hill, and, in terms of the industry spotlight, White had big shoes to fill, with Hill maintaining a strong profile both in terms of her day job and with trade associations such as MPI. The judges credited White for making her mark so quickly, particularly noteworthy for a representative of the often low-key pharmaceutical sector.
