International Centre gears up for 700-delegate event
This weekend's UK Independence Party (UKIP) annual national conference is being forecast to bring in £400,000 to the local economy of host destination Bournemouth.
The two-day event runs from September 5-6 and will see some 700 delegates attend the Bournemouth International Centre. The event marks the first time the party has chosen the south coast town for its conference.
UKIP local conference chairman Pamela McAlester of UKIP said: "The BIC is well known for party political conferences and was the natural choice when we choose Bournemouth for 2008."
