French agency Auditoire picked up the top honours at the EIBTM Awards 2002, winning the Grand Prix for its launch of the TGV Méditerranée for national railway SNCF. A total of 14 prizes were awarded at this year’s event, organised in association with CIT, which took place at Geneva’s Hotel Intercontinental. Auditoire’s work for the SNCF project also won in one of this year's three new categories, for Best Product Launch. The two other new categories – Best Conference and Best Incentive Travel Event – were won respectively by French agency Plein Feu for its work with the Conseil de l’Ordre des Experts Comptables, and German agency Stöcker & Friends on behalf of client Siemens ICM Munich. Stöcker also went on to win the Best Event Outside Europe award, while the Best Event In Europe prize went to the Vok Dams Gruppe, which handled a launch for Italian car maker Automobili Lamborghini. “These awards have yet again demonstrated the depth of creativity, innovation, excellence and organisational skills within the sector,” commented EIBTM exhibition director Debbie Jackson.
