Former Grass Roots and Universal Procon execs to launch events start-up

Former Grass Roots global head of events Nick Bender and ex-Universal Procon senior executives Mike Ford, Patrick Collins and Colette Murphy are launching a start-up events agency, which opens for business next week.
Bender left Grass Roots last summer; Ford departed Universal Procon (now Universal World Events), where he was managing director, in June 2010; while Collins, a former Eventia chairman, left his post of chairman at Universal Procon in April 2008. Murphy was US operations director at Universal Procon until May 2010.
Collins and Murphy have since been working as directors at event consultancy Touch Associates.
C&IT was unable to contact Bender, Ford or Collins, whose new agency will be officially launched next Thursday (19 January, at the time of writing.
