Hever Castle in Kent - the childhood home of Anne Boleyn - has appointed its first sales manager to help promote corporate and private events.

Kate Rowbottom joined the wedding and conference team at the Castle’s Astor Wing in December. Her remit includes generating bookings and liaising with clients to ensure the success of all the venue's events.

Rowbottom was previously event sales manager for Leith's at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich.

She said: "I am looking forward to sharing with the corporate world the unrivalled magnificence of Hever Castle and the boundless opportunities it offers for corporate hospitality.

"The award-winning gardens and sprawling grounds provide peace and tranquillity away from the office, while the splendour of the Castle with its regal dining hall and oak panelled meeting rooms offer that ‘wow factor’ that event organisers are always searching for."
