Golf hospitality sales revenue for The Open Championship at St Andrews was up 30% in 2010.
A total of 4,500 hospitality guests attended The Open Championship at St Andrews in Scotland this month.
Sodexo Prestige provided the catering, with head chef Malcolm Emery working with a team of 78 chefs to produce 85% locally-sourced food. Sodexo reported a 30% surge in revenue on 2009.
Hospitality guests were given the opportunity to rub shoulders with golfing legend Tony Jacklin, who was the official hospitality ambassador for The Open.
Hospitality for the 2011 Open Championship at Royal St George’s on 14-17 July is already on sale with a price freeze for bookings confirmed before 30 September.
