DRP Group has already reached 75% of its target of a £5m gross profit in 2010.

The agency’s directors outlined plans for further growth and development over the next six months at the firm’s annual conference held this week at Hellidon Lakes Golf & Spa Hotel near Daventry.

The conference saw the 75 DRP staff gather for a day of teambuilding activities, business messages and relaxation as the group gears up for the second half of the year.

DRP managing director Dale Parmenter – who set a target of achieving a 30% increase in gross profit in 2010 as part of the firm’s 30th anniversary aims – said the firm was 75% of the way towards its £5m gross profit goal.

Meanwhile, Parmenter also gave an update on DRP’s Thirty 30s series of anniversary challenges, which include CSR projects, improved environmental practices and customer service improvements.

He said: "It is vital for any business to take the time to communicate with their staff in this way. The value of every team member sitting down and working together is undervalued by many businesses but always understood by those that are most successful. Our conference has given the team the time to refocus on their goals for 2010 as well as celebrate their successes so far. I have no doubt that we will see the benefits of this event in the coming months and throughout the remainder of 2010."
